STEAMhouse Grant Funding for a total of £2,500 (inclusive of VAT) is now available for SMEs and Sole Traders (no match funding is required as a condition), who are members of STEAMhouse. Your business must be based within the GBS LEP region, Birmingham, Solihull, North Worchester and South Staffs for STEAMhouse to support you in developing your product.  The awarded grant will be split up into £826 (inclusive of VAT – compulsory) for Intellectual Property advice and the remaining £1,674 (inclusive of VAT compulsory) on equipment and materials for prototyping – to make your idea a reality.

There will be 30 individual grants available to Sole Traders and SMEs in total across the programme to:

  • support the use of/purchase of materials within the STEAMhouse workshops
  • support additional resources around further business support e.g. intellectual property advice (across various areas).

The grant funding will be split into the distribution of 10 applications across each of the the periods:

– Mid July 2018

– Mid November 2018

– End March 2019

  1. Complete the Grant Funding Application Form.
  2. Send your completed form to our Business Engagement Manager: sophia.tarr@bcu.ac.uk 

Your application will be assessed by the STEAMhouse team and you will be contacted directly within 21 days on the outcome of your application and next steps with the consultant to support your IP advice (compulsory).
