The diagnostic toolkit workshop provides businesses with an opportunity to develop and explore their own practices.

The diagnostic toolkit workshop provides businesses with an opportunity to develop and explore their own practices in a strategic context and think long-term about their ambitions and how these can be best achieved. This is a hands-on session, facilitated by BCU business support staff.

Why is this important?

Growth and development are challenging for any business firm. Alongside increasing sales and managing production or services, they require implementing a mix of technical, operational, and strategic processes which respond to a fast paced external environment. Supply chains, performance management, innovation, human resources, networks, finance: each play an integral role in the development of your enterprise. The trick is understanding which of these to prioritise at different points and how they compliment one other.

What will be achieved?

The diagnostic workshop provides participants with an understanding of how growth is managed, how this relates to businesses firms at different stages of development and in different sectors, and the areas of development key for their objectives.

How will this be done?

You will participate in a set of group exercises exploring key development criteria, using business case study examples. You’ll completed your own diagnostic questionnaire based on your existing business practices.

What will I get?

By completing your questionnaire, a report will be generated and emailed to you. This which will support you in addressing your key priorities towards growth and development regardless of whether you are working alone or as part of a team, and help you to inform your own growth planning.
