Calling all creatives and entrepreneurs! Engage new audiences in new ways by taking advantage of new technologies, made accessible to you by STEAMhouse.

Join our two-hour workshop to develop your skills and knowledge within gaming and tech.

This workshop is designed to help people you learn new skills, put bridges in place between people and create new opportunities to collaborate across different sectors. Everyone is welcome – whether you have existing knowledge or are from a non-gaming background.

You’ll have the opportunity to better understand the possibilities around virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR) and mixed reality (MR), otherwise known as extended technology and meet other likeminded innovators.

Get stuck into AR and VR with industry talks from ATMOS , coder John Sear who will talk about collaborating with arts organisation The Other Way Works to create immersive experiences and get insights into game design from Zuby Ahmed, Associate Professor of Games Design at Birmingham City University, looking at different ways of interacting and story-telling within video games today. Gain knowledge on extended reality, for both current and predicted future technologies, and find out how you can take real-world products into the digital space.
